Each bungalow at Earl’s Anchorage is named after one of Jack Earl’s famous boats – Smoky Cape, Maris, ┬áTarpon, Kathleen, Myee & Eula – and just like each of Jack’s yachts, each bungalow is distinct with it’s own unique personal style.

Earl’s Anchorage has 5 one bedroom bungalows and 3 two bedroom bungalows, each bungalow features custom designed & built furniture by Tasmanian master shipwright, Ned Trewartha.

Earl's Anchorage, situated on Anderson Road is close to all main beaches, walking trails and amenities.

Each of the eight bungalows is custom designed with no adjoining walls to ensure your stay is completely undisturbed, each bungalow is anchored via a boardwalk which meanders throughout the five acre property. Earl's Anchorage is the only accommodation on Lord Howe Island which features a bungalow which is entirely adapted for disabilities - Smoky Cape.

Bookings and Cancellations

To keep our business afloat, and your berth secure and comfortable, we have in place the following policy:

Bookings are confirmed on receipt of deposit. Your deposit will be equal to 2 nights accommodation. Until your deposit has been received, we consider your booking held pending payment. Your full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival.

Please note that we apply a 1.5% surcharge to all credit card transactions.

Earls Anchorage reserves the right to apply the following cancellation policy should you need to cancel your berth:

Bookings cancelled 60 to 30 days prior to arrival will incur a cancellation fee equal to the minimum deposit (2 nights accommodation). Any bookings cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Any bookings cancelled prior to 60 days will receive a full refund of the deposit paid.

We are a small property & rely heavily upon maximising occupancy levels. In no circumstance can refunds be given inside 30 days in the event of non-arrival or any unused nights & services for any reason.

Due to occasional adverse weather conditions airline flights can be disrupted. Travel insurance is strongly recommended for your protection.
